The Jets were off on Monday which of course doesn’t provide any insight into the status of Andrew Copp who left the win against the Blues on Sunday in the 3rd period after he collided with Oskar Sundqvist in the neutral zone. We may also gain insight into the status of Cole Perfetti and Kristian Reichel, who are both on LTIR and last we heard two weeks ago with respect to the 2020 1st rounder he was not skating.
Morning skate:
As per Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun there is no Andrew Copp at skate this morning which is reflected in the lines he tweeted which shows Svechnikov with Harkins and Lowry, Ehlers up on the 2nd line and Adam Brooks back in the lineup. He also added that Connor Hellebuyck is going through his regular starter routine.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Stastny-Scheifele-Wheeler
Connor-Dubois-Ehlers
Harkins-Lowry-Svechnikov
Brooks-Toninato-Vesalainen
Morrissey-DeMelo
Dillon-Pionk
Stanley-Schmidt
Hellebuyck
Comrie
Health update:
Jets interim head coach Dave Lowry says Andrew Copp is a “game-time decision”. Said he is an option for tonight but that he is being evaluated today and they’ll make a decision on him this afternoon. If I had to put my guessing hat on it doesn’t sound like Copp will be a player tonight but rather than guess you can wait for the warm-up skate (around 6:30 PM) when we can confirm the lines.
