The Jets are now 32-15-9 with the 3-1 loss this afternoon to the Rangers.

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats here are the results from tonight’s game via Natural Stat Trick.

Notable:

– Jets opened the scoring 24 seconds in but Tyler Myers goal was disallowed for offside;
– 42 seconds later Nikiloaj Ehlers scoring his 21st of the season to give the Jets a 1-0 lead (again);
– Mark Scheifele picked up his first point in his second game back after missing 16;
– Blake Wheeler added to his team leading assist total picking up number 46;
– Rangers had a bunch of power plays and outshot the Jets 18-9;
– Late in this contest the Jets were unable to clear the puck and Jimmy Vesey tipped it home;
– Jets thought they tied the game but Mark Scheifele’s tip was a wee too high and it was disallowed;
