Game 55: Senators 5 Jets 2 post-game recap

The Jets are now winless in their last three games and slip to 34-18-3 after today’s 5-2 loss to the Senators.

Notable:

– Laurent Brossoit didn’t have a good game for the Jets;
– Bryan Little scored his 14th of the season (in game 55) (he had 16 in 82 games last season);
– The Jets began the 3rd with the lines blended (85 with 18/29, 9 back with 17/13 and 28 to 4th with 82/48);
– Brendan Lemieux got his ninth goal of the season late in the 3rd;

Coach Maurice:  What did he see from his club today?  Were the Sens opportunistic or were they too loose?  The play of Laurent Brossoit.  Did he like what he saw from the ‘new look’ power play?  Any update on Lemieux?  Might he want to see a longer look of Copp with Lowry?  On Brossoit being nonchalant about his preparation.  On the miscommunication between Laine/Byfuglien on the fifth goal.  Did he feel like there were too many men on the second Sens goal?

Health Update:

As indicated above Brendan Lemieux left the game early after blocking a shot and following the game coach Maurice had this as an update “He got checked out as fine but then we won’t know until tomorrow how he’s feeling.”
