Try as they might the Jets could not beat Joonas Korpisalo more than once and they fall 2-1 to the Jackets to start the road trip with a 3-1 loss to the Blue Jackets. Winnipeg falls to 34-20-1 on the season.

Notable:
The Jets controlled the opening period of play holding a 12-2 shot edge.
They took advantage of a late two-man advantage as Kyle Connor deposited a Blake Wheeler pass to the back of the net. It was the sixth straight season that the steal of 2015 draft has at least 25 goals. Every full season Connor has played in the NHL he has hit that mark.
Pierre-Luc Dubois was called for a marginal penalty in the middle frame and of course Patrik Laine answered for the Blue Jackets on the subsequent power play to tie the game.
One of the big differences in the game was Joonas Korpisalo who was excellent for the Jackets.
Also the Jets blowing their power play opportunities, overpassing and not screening the goalie didn’t help.
