Recap:

The Jets have won three games in a row for the first time this season.  Shocking I know.  Ironic that it comes on Groundhog Day when fans would expect the team to repeat the past (this was tenth time they had two wins in a row) but they must have fast forwarded to the end of the movie when Bill Murray figures it all out.  Goals by Little (14), Scheifele (24, 25) and Ehlers (19) along with a 39 save performance by Ondrej Pavelec gave the Jets another much needed victory.  The team has now won nine straight against the Central Division.  Lucky for them they have three more in a row against the Central.

Stats:

Audio:

Blake Wheeler:  On the win.  What did he like about the game?  Was the 5 on 3 save by Pavelec the turning point in the game?  On keeping the momentum going.  What did he think about the way they played defensively?  On Scheifele’s play.

Mark Scheifele:  On how he was feeling tonight.  Was it a relief to finally get a third win in a row?  Importance of the wins.  On the play of Ondrej Pavelec.  On the save that Pavelec made on Benn shorthanded.  On the team’s confidence in front of Pavelec.

Coach Maurice: On the saves Pavelec made. On the save that Pavelec made on Benn shorthanded. What does it mean to the group mean to get three wins in a row? What is the most important thing Mark Scheifele is doing right now? On staying out of the penalty box. What did it mean to get Perreault back?
