Almost all of the Jets took part in practice on Saturday as the team looked to turn the page on their win over Utah and switch up their focus to Calgary as they look for a measure of revenge after losing to the Flames eight days ago in Winnipeg. The only player missing was reported to be Josh Morrissey who head coach Scott Arniel said was ill. They wouldn’t need to make a recall if he cannot play since they have sufficient D up with the big club. However they still only have 12 forwards. Now technically they don’t have to make a recall since the Moose are here until Tuesday but seems likely they will just to give them a 13th forward if needed.
The Flames had a bit of an unusual schedule as they defeated the Jets last Saturday night and then went home where they faced the Sabres five days later. With two straight wins they left Alberta for Minnesota where they took on the Wild last night and won 5-4 which makes it three straight wins for Calgary and they conclude three games in four nights tonight in Winnipeg.
