Game 51: Jets 4 Blue Jackets 3 post-game recap

For those who would like to take a deeper dive into the advanced stats here are the results from tonight’s game via Natural Stat Trick.

Notable:

– Good start for the Jets who opened the scoring on a nifty pass by Wheeler to Scheifele
– Blue Jackets scored back-to-back to take a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes;
– Mason Appleton tied it up with his first ever NHL goal at home (his third on the season);
– 57 seconds later the Jackets regained the lead which is how the middle frame ended with CBJ up by one;
– Coach Maurice flipped Jack Roslovic (2nd line to 3rd line) and Brandon Tanev (3rd line to 2nd line) to start the 3rd;
– Roslovic (the Columbus kid) scored against the team he grew up cheering for to tie the game on the PP;
– And with just 1:14 left in the game Kyle Connor on a sweet pass by Bryan Little gave the Jets a 4-3 lead.
