There is going to be lots of scoreboard watching and last night of the four relevant games in the Western Conference playoff race the Preds lost, the Wild lost, the Stars won and the Kings won. Which means the Jets find themselves five back of the second wild card spot held by L.A. (although Winnipeg has a game in hand). The Oilers are also desperate for points as they sit in third spot in the Pacific. Should make for one entertaining game between these former Smythe Division rivals.
With the news that Andrew Copp is day-to-day and Cole Perfetti is a little longer than day-to-day (see full roster health check here) it means that Evgeny Svechnikov draws back in for the Jets. Perhaps he will slot in with Kyle Connor and Pierre-Luc Dubois which was a line we saw early in the season or perhaps Kristian Reichel will get to keep the spot he had when Perfetti left the game on Thursday in the 3rd period.
Warm up skate news:
As per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press it will be Kristian Vesalainen getting the bump up to the line with Connor and Dubois.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Stastny-Scheifele-Wheeler
Connor-Dubois-Vesalainen
Harkins-Lowry-Reichel
Svechnikov-Toninato-Poganski
Morrissey-DeMelo
Dillon-Pionk
