The Jets needed to start a streak and that’s what they just did with a 5-3 win over the Kraken. Eric Comrie improves to 5-2-1 in his first game since Jan 29th. Jets now 22-18-8 on the season (three back of wild card).

Notable:
Similar to what happened in the game against the Predators which was a back-to-back the Jets came out flat and the Kraken took advantage of bad defence on a penalty kill and then at 5 on 5 to take a 2-0 lead.
Nice work by Adam Lowry and Dominic Toninato to cut the lead in half when the two worked a give and go on the penalty kill. It was Toninanto’s fourth goal of the season which ties his career high.
Pierre-Luc Dubois added to his goal total scoring his 21st of the season.
Hot hand of Blake Wheeler continues as he scored to cap off a good middle frame for the Jets. Gives him 11 points in his last 11 periods.
Some history was made during the game as JT Brown and Everett Fitzhugh became the first all-black broadcast team and they received a warm welcome to Manitoba as they make history.
Kristian Reichel got a bump up to the 2nd line and picked up his first ever NHL assist after he passed to Kyle Connor who found Josh Morrissey for what turned out to be the game-winning goal.
Kyle Connor sealed the deal with an empty netter.
Multi point game:
Blake Wheeler 1G 1A
Kyle Connor 1G 1A
