Game 47: Jets 6 Wild 3 post-game recap

The Jets needed a win and that’s what they get courtesy of their 6-3 win over the Wild to improve to 21-18-8. Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler each with four point nights.

Notable:

Get held a 7-2 shot edge to start the game but the Wild were the team that opened the scoring off a deflection and took over control for most of the opening period.

The Jets got back into this game courtesy of Mark Scheifele‘s fifth straight game with a goal. Then he decided to add two more goals to give him seven in the last five games.

With his three goals tonight Scheifele moves into 3rd spot, one ahead of Bryan Little on combined Jets/Thrashers franchise goals scored list with 218 career goals. He is only eight behind Blake Wheeler on the Jets 2.0 all-time list and it would put him 5th on the Jets 2.0 & 1.0 combo list.

The quest for 50 is alive for the Michigan Man as Kyle Connor scores his team leading 27th goal of the season in his 47th game of the season.

Jets 2020 1st rounder Cole Perfetti gets his first ever (of many) game-winning goals.
