After taking Saturday off the Jets are back on the ice for a morning skate as they get ready to face a Ducks team that hasn’t won in ten games (0-7-3) which has seen them drop out of the playoffs.
Big question for the Jets will be the status of Tyler Myers who missed the last game with a lower-body injury and was listed by coach Maurice as day-to-day.
AM Skate:
As per Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun the Jets were joined by Tyler Myers for morning skate. Ken also indicated that Connor Hellebuyck will get the start and that Nic Petan as well as Tyler Myers stayed on for extra work so no lineup changes to the forwards/defencemen.
Jets projected lines, D pairs and starting goalie:
Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler
Laine-Little-Roslovic
Perreault-Lowry-Tanev
Lemieux-Copp-Appleton
Morrissey-Trouba
Chiarot-Kulikov
Morrow-Niku
Hellebuyck
Brossoit
Audio:
Josh Morrissey
Mathieu Perreault
Coach Maurice: On the hit on Perreault. On the follow through. What does he see from the Ducks of late? Update on Myers? Is the onus on the hitter (on the Perreault hit)? Is tonight a trap game? How much does the person delivering the hit impact the call? What is Nic Petan’s role on this team? Surplus of young talent, do they know what they need to do to stay in the lineup? What are the challenges that concern him most about his team at this point in the season?

Health Update:
Coach Maurice was asked about Tyler Myers and he indicated “We’re going to get him through till tomorrow. And if he feels probably as good as he does today, tomorrow then we think its gone in the right direction and we’ll take a real hard look for Vegas.”
