The Jets will look to close out the decade with a win against a Colorado Avalanche team that sits five points ahead of them in the Central Division standings. Neither team has played particularly well in their last ten games so you can expect a fair amount of desperation from both clubs looking to stay ahead of the tight competition in the Central.
AM Skate:
As per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press everyone is skating this morning except for Tucker Poolman and Nikoaj Ehlers. Mike added that Connor Hellebuyck is also not out for today’s skate.
Lineup:
No line rushes this morning in Denver so we will have to wait and see what Jets bench boss Paul Maurice decides but Mathieu Perreault did confirm he will be back tonight according to Ken Wiebe of The Athletic Winnipeg. He also adds that Logan Shaw joined Joona Luoto and Carl Dahlstrom as the guys who stayed on the ice late which is a good indicator that Shaw will be a healthy scratch. Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun clarifies what the Jets bottom six will look like (see below).
Jets Projected Lines, D pairs:
Connor-Scheifele-Laine
Ehlers-Wheeler-Roslovic
Bourque-Lowry-Perreault
Harkins-Shore-Appleton
Morrissey-Poolman

Coach Maurice: Is Perreault back in? Who will he play with? Is Logan Shaw coming out? What went in to keeping Harkins in? Would he consider Harkins with Lowry/Perreault? Does Perreault reduce the strain on the top two lines? Any thought of getting Dahlstrom back into the lineup? How important was it to have a day like Monday after two heavy games vs the Blues and a game vs the Avs tnt. Poolman and Ehlers both good to go?
