The Jets hit the links on Saturday in Arizona as they and their mentors enjoyed some time on the golf links after winning in San Jose and Anaheim to start the road trip. They will look for the clean sweep tonight when they take on the Coyotes. Winnipeg rolls into Mullet Arena as the top ranked team in the entire NHL, winners of five straight games, with points in 11 straight games (9-0-2) while the Coyotes have lost their last couple of games and currently sit 6th in the Central division.
The only expected change for the Jets is Connor Hellebuyck to be in net.
Morning Skate:
On the Jets PR schedule it said 10:30 AM but they put out a tweet that the schedule today just calls for the game so it would appear they’ve taken off the skate or it will be an optional. For now the lines and D pairs will remain the same as last game.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Perfetti-Scheifele-Iafallo
Ehlers-Namestnikov-Vilardi
Niederreiter-Lowry-Appleton
Barron-Toninato-AJF
Morrissey-DeMelo
Dillon-Pionk
Samberg-Schmidt
Hellebuyck
Brossoit
Betway Odds:
Mullet has been a good spot for the home team as they boast a 12-7-0 although the visitors counter with an impressive 12-4-2 road record. While the Coyotes don’t score a ton of goals (25th in the NHL) they have been effective in keeping the puck out of their net (8th best in NHL). It is an important game for Arizona as they are still within striking distance of a wild card spot. The oddsmakers are giving the big edge to the visiting team for this contest.
