Game 38: Winnipeg Jets vs Anaheim Ducks pre-game report

Like the game last night in San Jose tonight’s game in Anaheim could be a bit of a trap for Winnipeg if they do not maintain their level of consistent play. It seemed like the lack of real push from the Sharks lulled the Jets to sleep and we could see a repeat of that tonight. It would behoove them to get out to an early lead and not allow Anaheim any breathing room.

We do know that the only expected change for the Jets will be Laurent Brossoit getting the start in net.

Morning Skate:

No skate for the players in the game as the Jets played last night although some of the injured guys likely could be skating.

Jets projected lines & D pairs:

Perfetti-Scheifele-Iafallo
Ehlers-Namestnikov-Vilardi
Niederreiter-Lowry-Appleton
Barron-Toninato-AJF

Morrissey-DeMelo
Dillon-Pionk
Samberg-Schmidt

Brossoit
Hellebuyck

Betway Odds:

While the Jets opponent from southern California has a slightly better record than last night’s northern California opponent it is only marginally so. The Ducks have a -30 goal differential this season, an abysmal 6-14-1 home record and are 3-6-1 in their last 10. Even though Winnipeg played last night they are cruising right now setting a team record for consecutive games with a point (10) and continue to boast an impressive 11-4-2 record on the road. The oddsmakers are giving the big edge to the visiting team for this contest. Be sure to check out the latest game day odds from Betway.
