Game 36: Jets 4 Canucks 1 post-game report

Recap:

The kids are alright.  After losing 4-1 on Tuesday the Jets flipped the script on the Canucks posting a 4-1 victory of their own.  Nikolaj Ehlers must like the rain of the West Coast because when it rains it pours for the Jets winger as he potted two goals (his eighth and ninth of the season) as well as adding an assist.  He now has four goals in his last three games.  Super rookie Patrik Laine tied the game up at one when he ripped a shot past Ryan Miller giving him 19 goals on the season.  Michael Hutchinson was steady in net stopping 22 of 23 shots for a .957 save %.

The Jets head into the Christmas break having won three of their last four games.

Stats:

Player audio:

Michael Hutchinson:  His thoughts on the game.  Exact opposite of the game on Tuesday.  Did the big hits in the 2nd period fire up the Jets?  Laine hit on H.Sedin.  How did it feel to play?

Nikolaj Ehlers:  Nice to be able to win this game after Tuesday?  What did the Laine goal do for the Jets?  Good 2nd period for the Jets.  Being able to score two goals for the Jets.  Surprised how much room he had on his first goal.  Something on his wish list for the holidays?

Coach audio:

Paul Maurice:  Assessing the game.  On Nikolaj Ehlers showing off some skills.  On Michael Hutchinson’s performance.  First impressions on the return of Armia and Matthias.  Did the 2nd period hits spark the club.  On Enstrom’s game.
