Game 35: Flames 4 Jets 2 post-game recap

The Jets looked like a tired bunch and despite tying the game in the middle frame, a few too many miscues allowed the Flames to arrest their losing streak at four games and halt the Winnipeg winning streak at three. The Jets fall to 21-12-2 on the season which keeps them in 2nd spot in the North Division (one point ahead of Edmonton) with the Oilers losing to the Leafs in OT this evening.

Notable:

Mason Appleton, after inadvertently putting a puck past his own goalie off his stick in the 1st, he got the Jets back into the game with his ninth goal of the season.

Logan Stanley scored his first NHL goal to tie the game.  Coincidental timing as we spoke to his former head coach with the Manitoba Moose Pascal Vincent on today’s show and he had a classic turn of phrase regarding Stanley’s development. (Full interview here starting at 1:03:50).
