So many questions heading into the game given the numerous transactions between the Jets, Moose and taxi squad the last few days as well as players coming in and out of covid protocol. Jansen Harkins was in Detroit after getting out of protocol while Dylan DeMelo was flying from Denver to Detroit on Wednesday to meet the team after he also got out of covid protocol.
Transaction Report:
Ahead of skate this morning in Detroit the team announced five moves only one of which was expected. They reassigned Cole Perfetti from the taxi squad to the Jets. They also announced Paul Stastny is in covid protocol. As well goalie Mikhail Berdin and forwards Austin Poganski and Jeff Malott have all been reassigned to the taxi squad.
Morning skate:
According to Mitchell Clinton of JetsTV two players who were question marks in Jansen Harkins and Dylan DeMelo are both on the ice this morning. However both Brenden Dillon and Eric Comrie are missing.
Covid protocol:
Make it eight players in protocol as both Eric Comrie and Brenden Dillon have been placed there according to interim head coach Dave Lowry.
Lineup news:
Moose leading scorer Austin Poganski will play tonight for the Jets as per interim head coach Dave Lowry. He has six games to date in the NHL with the Blues.
NHL debuts:
2017 3rd rounder Dylan Samberg and 2018 5th rounder Declan Chisholm are both set to make their NHL debuts this evening.
