Game 33: Jets 4 Panthers 3 in SO post-game report

Lots of excitement in the building in a see-saw game that saw the Jets have an average 1st period but escape after 20 minutes with a 1-0 lead. Panthers scored three power play goals (all while Enstrom was in the penalty box) to give Florida a 3-2 lead heading into the final frame. Little tied it up on a nice pass by Wheeler. OT solved nothing and Mathieu Perreault won it in the sixth round of the shootout.

Paul Maurice: How would he characterize that win? Thoughts on the play of Nikolaj Ehlers? How far is the team from being happy where they can be happy with the special teams? What can it do for a team when a game you don’t like falls in your favour? Does he need to say anything to Enstrom after the penalties? What were they able to do in the 3rd period as they appeared to change it up after the first couple of periods? Happy with Hellebuyck’s game? Is he still looking for something to click in his top six?
