Game 32: Jets vs Senators pre-game report

The Jets are coming off a 3-2 loss to the Seattle Kraken on Sunday night which ended their five-game winning streak on the road. They return home, where they boast a 11-5-0 record, for a one-game stop against the Ottawa Senators.

While the team was off on Monday it will be interesting to see if they make any lineup changes (aside from Connor Hellebuyck starting). One of or both of Ville Heinola and Michael Eyssimont could be put into the lineup to inject a little jump.

Pre-skate news:

The Jets announced that they have recalled goalie Arvid Holm on an emergency basis. Holm has been very good for the Moose this season posting a 7-3-2 record with a .923 save percentage and a 2.55 GAA.

Morning skate news:

As per Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet, no Connor Hellebuyck today at morning skate but David Rittich and Arvid Holm are both on the ice. Kenny also indicated that Ville Heinola appears to be drawing in for Kyle Capobianco.

Health news:

Jets coach Rick Bowness confirms that Connor Hellebuyck dealing with a non-covid related illness. The netminder is expected to be on road trip to Boston and Washington.
