The Jets went with a young squad in Minnesota and despite the strong play of Connor Hellebuyck, who was only beaten once, Winnipeg was unable to really generate a lot of offence. Perhaps the biggest consequence from the loss was that Joel Armia didn’t play the 3rd period with the team indicating that he had suffered a lower-body injury. Often in pre-season the team may hold a player out simply for precautionary reasons so the magnitude of this is unknown at this time.
Via Natural Stat Trick: At even strength the Jets won the Corsi for % battle 56.06% to 43.94%. The Fenwick for % was also in the Jets favour at 54% to 46%.
