Game 3: Los Angeles Kings 5 Winnipeg Jets 1 post-game recap

The Jets were hoping to keep things rolling after two good efforts to start the season but the Kings burst that bubble as they built themselves a 2-0 lead which turned into a 5-0 lead before Mark Scheifele scored late in the game. The bigger loss may be Gabriel Vilardi who was injured in the first period and was ruled out from returning with a lower-body injury.

Notable:

The three ex Kings started against their former club as Rasmus Kupari centred Alex Iafallo and Gabriel Vilardi for puck drop which was a nice touch by head coach Rick Bowness.
