The Jets left Seattle with a win in their pocket and will look for another victory this evening in Vancouver as they deal with a Canucks team that cleaned house this past week and have won their last two games with new coach Bruce Boudreau at the helm.
Jets bench boss Paul Maurice indicated last night that Eric Comrie would be in net against the Canucks. We don’t know if recently recalled Ville Heinola will get a chance to make his season debut or if he was simply an insurance policy with Neal Pionk out due to suspension/concussion protocol. For now the lineup (aside from starting goalie) will be projected as it was last night and will be adjusted when head coach Paul Maurice speaks pre-game or according to warm-up skate.
Morning skate:
No skate.
Warm up skate news:
According to Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun defenceman Ville Heinola took part in warm up skate. However when line rushes got started the 2019 1st rounder wasn’t taking part. As per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press there was a concern with a forward (Pierre-Luc Dubois) so they had considered 11/7 but number 80 was a full participant in line rushes according to Mike.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler
Copp-Dubois-Ehlers
Stastny-Lowry-Vesalainen
Harkins-Toninato-Svechnikov
Morrissey-Schmidt
Stanley-Dillon
Beaulieu-DeMelo
Comrie
Hellebuyck
