The Jets have some questions heading into tonight’s first every game in Seattle to take on the newest NHL franchise with the news the team had recalled Ville Heinola from the Moose. Will he get into the lineup today or will he be an observer? Since he wasn’t at skate yesterday for now the lines will look how they did at Wednesday’s practice in Winnipeg. The Logan Stanley experiment on the right side came to a quick end after one period and he finds himself back on his natural side with veteran Brenden Dillon making the switch over to his off side.
Morning skate:
As per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press there has been a Ville Heinola sighting at Climate Pledge Arena but no Paul Stastny and no Pierre-Luc Dubois. He adds that Connor Hellebuyck in the starter’s net.
Mike added that Heinola stayed on for extra work so it appears he won’t be making his season debut quite yet for the Jets.
Lineup news:
Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun confirms that both Dubois and Stastny will play and that Heinola is a scratch.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler
Copp-Dubois-Ehlers
Stastny-Lowry-Vesalainen
Harkins-Toninato-Svechnikov
Morrissey-Schmidt
Stanley-Dillon
Beaulieu-DeMelo
