After a good first 20 minutes in downtown Winnipeg which saw the Jets take a 1-0 lead on a Nikolaj Ehlers power play goal on a nice pass by Tyler Myers who was playing in his first game since November 11th, 2016. The Oilers took over in the 2nd period with three straight goals and the Jets were unlucky hitting a number of posts. Third period was a bit more even but neither team scored. Yamamoto added an empty net goal to make it a 4-1 game for the visitors. Not much time for rest as the team will play tomorrow night in St. Paul as they take on the Wild.
On a positive note the Winnipeg Goldeyes won convincingly in game 5 of the American Association championship 18-2 further east in downtown Winnipeg at Shaw Park to take home their second consecutive title.

Coach Maurice: His thoughts on the third goal (whether it was a kicking motion). What was his biggest takeaway from the game? What do the five shots off the iron mean? Thoughts on Tyler Myers game? Thoughts on a potential tandem of Myers and Kulikov. Thoughts on Nic Petan on the wing? What will the lineup look like tomorrow night in Minnesota? Thoughts on the play of Steve Mason?
