Game 2 of pre-season post-game recap: Jets 4 Wild 1

Jets looked good early taking a quick 2-0 lead, held on in a boring middle frame and then closed it out in the 3rd with a power play goal and an empty netter.

Quick thoughts:

CJ Suess looked good after a long lay off scoring an empty net goal but more importantly continuing to show his defensively smart play/positioning.

Sami Niku was smooth as per usual and had a couple of assists on the night.

Michael Spacek made some nice plays and was noticeable for the right reasons.

Tucker Poolman was steady and showed off some offence.

Ville Heinola is such a pleasure to watch.  Seems to be a smart player.

Coach Maurice: Thoughts on the Jets lines and D pairs?  What did they accomplish?  Did Chibisov stand out?  How did he feel about transition defence and maintaining a good gap?  Looks at the top of the zone.  On Niku handling the physical element.  Heinola having to learn that aspect of the game.  Thoughts on CJ Suess and Michael Spacek.  On Andrew Copp being a driven player.
