The Jets couldn’t overcome the Oilers two early goals, dropping this penalty-filled contest by a 3-2 margin. Jets drop to 9-6-1 on the season, with the road-trip continuing on Friday in Vancouver.

With his power-play goal in the 1st period Mark Scheifele is one back of Patrik Laine for third spot on the all-time franchise list. Seven back of Bryan Little for second spot.

Scheifele moved into sole possession of fifth spot in NHL scoring with 22 points in 16 games. He’s also on an eight-game points streak with five goals and seven assists during that time.

With the assist on the second Jets goal Nikolaj Ehlers now has 150 assists in his career.
