Game 16: Jets vs. Coyotes pre-game report

The Jets stumbled last night in Vegas dropping the second game of this three game road trip.  No word if the coach will change up his lines for tonight’s game against the Coyotes (ones listed below were used in Vegas).  We do know that he indicated following the 5-2 loss to the Golden Knights that Steve Mason, who played in the 3rd period, will make his first start since October 27th.

Morning skate notes:

No morning skate in Glendale following a late game in Vegas last night.

Pre-game update:

Via Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press we learn that Coach Maurice has confirmed that there will be no lineup changes aside from Steve Mason in net.  Josh Morrissey, who blocked a shot late in the 3rd is fine and will suit up today.

Projected Jets lines, D Pairs & starting goalie:

Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler
Ehlers-Little-Laine
Copp-Lowry-Tanev
Matthias-Hendricks-Armia

Morrissey-Trouba
Enstrom-Byfuglien
Kulikov-Myers

Mason
Hellebuyck

Extras:  Lemieux, Dano and Chiarot.

Coach Maurice pre-game:

Scrum Topics:  What is his top priority for the Jets tonight.  On Mason getting into the 3rd period last night.  Any lineup changes?  Morrissey’s status.  Concerned with the lack of speed?  Does he like the schedule when it allows them to see a team in close proximity.  What did he see from the video of the Coyotes?  Playing the 4th line.  On the team having a rebound game tnt.  Rare off night for top line.  Remembrance Day thought.
