The Jets modest two-game winning streak ended on Tuesday night in Calgary with a regulation loss to the Flames. Tonight they will look to get their mojo back against a Senators team that are just 2-11-1 on the season and have lost three straight games.
Morning skate news:
As per Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet it appears that goalie Connor Hellebuyck is doing his routine which indicates he is starting in net. Ken adds still no Jansen Harkins or Nate Thompson who are both dealing with lower-body issues. Ken said there weren’t any line rushes but thinks that Tucker Poolman could draw back in with Logan Stanley still on the ice. We will have to wait and hear from Jets bench boss Paul Maurice.
Roster update:
Jets coach Paul Maurice confirms that they are going to go with an 11 forward and seven defencemen configuration today with Tucker Poolman coming in and Kristian Vesalainen coming out. He didn’t clarify exactly how he’s gonna run his lines and D pairs tonight so we will have to wait for warm-up skate at 6:30 PM for confirmation.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Copp-Scheifele-Ehlers
Connor-Dubois-Wheeler
Stastny-Lowry-Appleton
Perreault-Lewis
Morrissey-Poolman
Forbort-Pionk
Stanley-DeMelo
Beaulieu
Hellebuyck
