If I didn’t see that game I wouldn’t have believed it. The Habs put up 50 shots and somehow the Jets managed to secure a point. Even more surprising was that the Jets held a 4-2 lead with 12 minutes to go in the 3rd. On the positive side the power play clicked three times but conversely they gave up two goals on the penalty kill.
Connor Hellebuyck remains undefeated at 7-0-2 and was pretty much the only reason the Jets got a point in the game. Patrik Laine scored for the second consecutive game while Nikolaj Ehlers got his team leading eighth of the season. Wheeler (1G 1A) and Byfuglien (2A) were the only Jets to get multiple points in the OT loss.
Jets are 4-0-3 in their last seven games and will head to Dallas on Sunday to kick start a three-game road trip.
