The Jets reunited as a team on Monday night in St. Louis in advance of the game as a number of players had left the team after the win over the Coyotes on Saturday afternoon to return to Minnesota to take part in Adam Johnson’s funeral and celebration of life. As a result the practice the team held in Tempe yesterday didn’t feature any line rushes or D pairings.
Skate news:
As per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press tweeting that there are no changes and that Connor Hellebuyck starts in net.
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Connor-Scheifele-Iafallo
Perfetti-Namestnikov-Ehlers
Niederreiter-Lowry-Appleton
Barron-Kupari-Gustafsson
Morrissey-DeMelo
Dillon-Pionk
Samberg-Schmidt
Hellebuyck
Brossoit
Betway Odds:
Should be an interesting test against a St. Louis team that doesn’t score nearly as many goals as the Jets but also doesn’t give up nearly as many goals. In fact both teams are sitting with a minus three goal differential and just one point separates these two clubs. The Blues have been very good at home this season going 4-1-0 at Enterprise Center but despite that stat the oddsmakers see the visitors as the current favourites in this contest.
