The Jets overcame some early adversity when an apparent power play goal was called back by the zebras. Kyle Connor (2) from Mark Scheifele (8) and Tyler Myers (2) managed to put the Jets up for real in the 1st period.
Then Nikolaj Ehlers (7) unassisted gave the Jets a two goal lead a minute into the 3rd. The Wild got one back about five minute later but Connor Hellebuyck continued his strong play making 28 of 29 saves (.966 save %) to preserve a 2-1 win. Hellebuyck runs his record to an impressive 6-0-1.
The Jets are now 2/2 against Minnesota which is important when factoring in divisional games later in the season Two of the next three games are against another divisional opponent in Dallas. It is early but the Jets are now 5th in the Western Conference and 2nd in the Central Division.
