The Jets began this four game road trip with a 2-1 win against the Wings and now sport a 7-3-1 record which is good enough for second in the Western Conference. Quick transition for Winnipeg as they fly to Toronto looking for revenge on Saturday night after suffering a 4-2 defeat at Bell MTS Place on Wednesday night.

Coach Maurice: On the Jets power play. Thoughts overall on how the team played tonight in Detroit. Dustin Byfuglien’s 500th NHL point. On the play that Chiarot made to Byfuglien to set up the goal. On Tanev being willing to block. On the play of Brossoit. On his decision to flip Laine and Perreault. Did he feel the 1st period was a slow start? Getting another crack at the Leafs.

Jets will take on the Leafs Saturday night in Toronto. Quite the contrast in the last week between these two squads as Toronto played last Saturday then played Wednesday in Winnipeg and won’t play again until Saturday night against the Jets. Compare that to Winnipeg who had games scheduled those same three days but also played the Blues on Monday and Red Wings on Friday.
