The Jets are looking to put the 6-4 loss to the Leafs on Monday behind them as they turn their attention to the Red Wings this evening in Michigan. Like the last team Winnipeg faced, Detroit are currently sitting at 4-4-1 in the Atlantic Division. They have the 18th ranked power play and the 30th ranked penalty kill which might be an opportunity for the top ranked power play in the NHL to feast.
The biggest question marks for the Jets will be the lineup and if head coach Scott Arniel will maintain his blended lines from the 3rd period or revert back to the ones that saw his club win eight straight games. Will we see Haydn Fleury return to the lineup in place of Logan Stanley after 64 had a tough game?
By virtue of his four point night in Winnipeg last game Kyle Connor, the kid from Shelby Township in Michigan, will have a chance to get to 500 points in his home state as he currently sits at 499 (251 goals 248 assists).
Morning skate news:
As per Mike McIntrye of the Winnipeg Free Press no changes from last game as head coach Scott Arniel lets his group try to bounce back from their first loss on Monday.
