Recap:
Tonight’s game was a bit of a chess match for the first 60 minutes. The Jets had a Carl Dahlstrom goal disallowed with under 10 minutes remaining in the 3rd period due to a Mark Scheifele offside. The 3-on-3 Overtime was pure adrenaline with scoring chances all over the ice but the shootout was ultimately needed and Kyle Connor and Patrik Laine scored while Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Connor McDavid were stopped by Connor Hellebuyck.
The Jets are now 5-5-0 on the season with one game left on this five-game homestand.

Coach Maurice: Defensive effort of his club. Play of Connor Hellebuyck. Winning his 700th game. Did he ever imagine winning this many games? The players honouring him post-game. How close did that game look to this team’s identity? Does he get caught up in chasing the pairing McDavid/Draisaitl pairing? Having veterans like Little around to celebrate his 700th. On the last week.
