Game 1 of the pre-season: Jets vs. Wild projected lines

The Wild and Jets will kick off the pre-season tonight at Bell MTS Place with a 7 pm puck drop.  Tonight’s projected lines and D pairs come to us from the Jets Director of Hockey Content Ryan Dittrick:

Laine-Scheifele-Wheeler
Perreault-Little-Ehlers
Connor-Lowry-Armia
Lemieux-Sgarbossa-Dano

Stanley-Byfuglien
Enstrom-Poolman
Chiarot-Nogier

Hellebuyck
Comrie

Audio:

Kyle Connor:  What is he hoping to show tonight?  How much is he looking at the depth chart?  Does he approach this camp any differently than last year?  Starting the game with Lowry and Armia.  What can he take from last year’s pre season?

Patrik Laine:  What does he think of the potential of his linemates?  How comfortable is he on his off wing?  Will it open up more chances for him?  More on what that trio could do this season.  Does he notice his new strength in his skating?  What does he do to shake off the rust?

Tucker Poolman:  On how he feels.  What are his expectations?  What has he learned being around Enstrom?  What has that comfort been like as he gets acclimatized to the Jets system?  Does he have some family coming up for the game?  What are the keys to showing the coaching staff what he can do in a game?

Logan Stanley:  What does it mean to get into his first NHL pre-season game?  What are the keys to him showing well tonight?  Has he approached this camp any differently than he did last year?  What advice has Dustin Byfuglien given him over the past few days?  Has it helped him get comfortable?  Is he nervous at all?  What does he do coping with the nerves?

Coach Maurice:  What would a successful pre-season game look like to him?  Is this game a tone setter or should it have started already?  What would he like to see from Kyle Connor this camp?  How does he see Connor fitting in with Lowry and Armia?  Taking a look at Laine-Scheifele-Wheeler together.  Still something to learn about what the top line can do together?  What is the potential of that line?  Will Hellebuyck play a full 60?  What can young guys like Poolman and Stanley show him tonight?
