Game 1 between the Winnipeg Jets and Colorado Avalanche not for the faint of heart but home team outlasts visitors 7-6

That was not a game for the faint of heart as it saw six goals scored in the 1st, just one in the 2nd and then another six in the 3rd in a wild, wild hockey game which Winnipeg won 7-6.

Notable:

Canada Life Centre was electric prior to puck drop and then for basically the next three hours which got to another level when the players took to the ice.

Jets fans come in all shapes and sizes to the Whiteout Street Party!

Fans were lucky enough to hear Hoosli Ukrainian Male Chorus doing the anthems and this True North was probably heard for miles.

First Jets goal of the playoffs goes to Josh Morrissey and 44 was fired up. So was the crowd.

Connor Hellebuyck flashed the leather and then a stare.

Heartwarming moment from game 1 was a sequence which saw the puck go over the glass and this Jets fan catches it. Fans around him celebrate. He then gives it away to a young Jets fan who jumps for joy. Fans around him celebrate some more.

Captain Adam Lowry’s point after scoring is classic. And I honestly forgot how loud this building can get. Insane.

Jets fans were mercilessly chanting “pull the goalie” at the Avs bench when they took their 7-4 lead.
