The Jets re-acquired Mason Appleton last season in a trade deadline move that brought the Wisconsin product back to the team that drafted him in the sixth round back in 2015 and then spent years developing him.
He had a down season in 2021-22 split between Seattle (49 GP 6 G 11A) and Winnipeg (19 GP 2G 2A) and will look to get back to his 2020-21 numbers when he put up 12 goals and 13 assists in 56 games with the Jets.
He will likely be consistently playing alongside Adam Lowry on the third line.
As per Elliotte Friedman it will be a three-year deal.
2 million in first season and next two at 2.25 million.
With this signing it allows the two sides to avoid arbitration which was set for August 11th.
He's closing in on his first game since January 13th.
