With news from the Jets that captain Blake Wheeler was “symptomatic positive” for COVID-19 the team seemed like they had “lucked out” with just keeping it to one player.
Unfortunately for the team that may not be the case according to insider Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff who just tweeted:
Hearing #nhljets are bracing for more positive COVID-19 tests within locker room. Team is waiting on additional lab-based results overnight that will provide a clearer picture tomorrow exactly what they’re facing.
Frank with an update:
Sounds like good news for #nhljets tonight in hours following original report – some test(s) that were initially positive have since been confirmed negative.
It’s possible that vast majority of the roster is cleared to play vs. ANA. Really fluid situation, WPG awaiting clarity
The Jets returned last night from a three-game road trip which began in California and ended in Minnesota and are scheduled to play their home opener tomorrow night.
