Well, Forsberg sure fooled the media. For months there was speculation of where Foppa would end up, and just as the media attention subsided, the super-Swede made his decision to return. Even if Forsberg isn’t what he once was (and even then he’s damn good), this is a no lose situation for the Avalanche. Think about the team’s forward corps. It consists of: Sakic, Stastny, Smyth, Forsberg, Hejduk, Brunette and Svatos to name a few. That may be the deepest forward corps in the entire NHL.
