Former Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose winger Jeffrey Viel signs two-year deal with Boston

While he was only in Manitoba for one season it was an impactful one by winger Jeffrey Viel who spent the majority of the season in the AHL with the Moose. During a home and home series with the Wild that was getting a tad nasty he was recalled by the Jets but didn’t end up playing in St. Paul.

After a slow start he had a significant impact with Kristian Reichel and Parker Ford as part of the Identity Line for Manitoba. That line would change games for the Moose when they needed an impact. Of course he was also involved in one of the craziest no defence fights in the AHL this season.

The Boston Bruins have announced it as a two-year deal “with an annual NHL cap hit of $775,000. The deal is a two-way contract for the 2024-25 season and a one-way contract for the 2025-26 season”.
