It was a bit of a surprise when the Jets released their list of RFAs they had sent qualifying offers to on June 30th and Winnipeg’s 2019 2nd rounder Simon Lundmark wasn’t on the list. Because they hadn’t qualified him he became a UFA and was free to sign with any team today.
Folks at PuckReport which is part of PuckPedia are reporting he’s heading to Tampa Bay on a two-year, two-way deal.

He spent four seasons with the Moose playing 254 regular season games and five playoff contests. He did earn a recall up to the Jets during the 2024-25 campaign when they needed a defenceman for a game in Toronto but he didn’t end up playing and has yet to make his NHL debut.
To me he’s a Dylan DeMelo type of defenceman who goes about his business but isn’t flashy.
