The last of the Winnipeg Ice players to conclude their junior careers now has a new home for next season as defenceman Ben Zloty has inked a one-year AHL deal with the Texas Stars.
Zloty is a six-foot, left-shot blueliner who had 13 goals and 68 assists for 81 points in 64 games for Winnipeg this season. He has spent the last four seasons in Winnipeg with the Ice.
He had been invited to the Dallas Stars development camp last month.
Zloty’s Ice teammates Owen Pederson (Providence) and Connor McClennon (Chicago) have also signed AHL deals this summer.
