Former Jets/Moose winger Mikey Eyssimont added to Team USA roster for World Championship

Five days ago former Jets/Moose winger Mikey Eyssimont signed a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning and today it was announced he will be heading to Finland to compete for Team USA at the World Championship.

This is the first time the Colorado product will be putting on a Team USA uniform.

The tenacious forward brings a hustle, relentlessness and edge to any team he plays on.  He played his first NHL game last year with Winnipeg after being a consistent producer (18G 24A 42 points in 58 games) with the Moose in the AHL during the 2021-22 season.

When the Jets needed a player this past November they called him up from the farm. He would play 19 games for Winnipeg scoring his first career NHL goal and adding four assists. He would eventually be placed back on waivers but was claimed by San Jose. They played him for nine games before he was dealt to Tampa Bay for veteran forward Vladislav Namestnikov, who Winnipeg would later acquire for a 4th round pick in 2025.
