Forbes Magazine Looks at America’s Most Profitable Rinks

Take a look at the Top 10 here.

Hockey, hoops and football have drawn roughly 1.6 million fans into the American Airlines Center over the past year, with the average ticket going for more than $50. Add $6.5 million annually in corporate naming rights, some $40 million from 144 luxury suites and various signage and sponsorships around the arena, and American Airlines Center rakes in about $8,800 a year from each of its 18,186 seats and luxury boxes.

While once just a place to watch the game, arenas are now big business and look to cater to a fan’s sense of comfort.
