From Jean Lefebvre of the Calgary Herald:

For years there’s been speculation the Finnish centreman was Calgary-bound. The talk started long before Mike Keenan moved behind the Flames bench and certainly picked up steam afterwards, the veteran coach and Jokinen having enjoyed a solid relationship during their days together in South Florida.

The Flames will have some heavy competition for the services of Jokinen. I can see the Wild offering up a package including Pierre-Marc Bouchard, and a bunch of other teams will surely be in the fray. If the Flames do get their man, they are going to have to give up quite a fair number of assets; never mind, their cap situation. It should be an interesting summer for GM Darryl Sutter.
