First media availability with Winnipeg Jets 2025 1st rounder Sascha Boumedienne

After being selected 28th overall we heard from the newest member of the Jets, Sascha Boumedienne.

Quite a journey for the left-shot defenceman currently playing for Boston University. He was born in Finland, grew up in Sweden (who he plays for internationally), moved to the United States four years ago and now drafted by a Canadian team.

He joined us following his selection for a chat.

He will also be joining us live tomorrow on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show at 11 AM CDT so join us here as we reflect on Day 1 of the NHL Draft and preview Day 2 where the Jets have four selections to make.

I also appear on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show every Saturday on our YouTube channel as well as the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show after every single Jets game. And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Canada Life to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
