Finnish portrait artist Akke Saari draws Winnipeg Jets sniper Patrik Laine

Everyone knows that Jets sniper Patrik Laine is one of the biggest stars back in his homeland of Finland.  There is a tremendous amount of excitement in that country of 5.5 million folks for the Global Series next season between the Jets and Panthers in Helsinki on November 1st and 2nd.  We saw last season with all the Finnish media that would attend his games the huge appetite they have for all things Patrik Laine.

Recently I saw on twitter some work done by Finnish portrait artist Akke Saari of his drawing of Winnipeg Jets sniper Patrik Laine.  While I have absolutely no ability to draw I can still appreciate the work required to produce this form of art.

Luckily for us, Akke Saari filmed the 29 hour process which you can see here condensed to under a minute:

Tremendous amount of time and energy invested in producing this work of art.

Check out more of Akke Saari’s work on his website and you can follow him on twitter @akkesaari as well as Instagram @akkesaari.

As always stay tuned for the latest Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose news by keeping it locked to our web site  illegalcurve.com and on social media including Twitter | Facebook | Instagram.  You can also follow me on twitter as well (@icdave).
