Longtime Winnipeg Jet centre Thomas Steen will play right wing in the next federal election.
Sources confirmed yesterday the Jets legend will run as a Conservative candidate in Elmwood-Transcona, a seat potentially up for grabs since long-time NDP MP Bill Blaikie will be retiring.
Steen is to formally announce his intentions Friday to coincide with Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s election call expected this weekend.

For Illegal Curve, I’m Ezra Ginsburg.
