At the 10:24 mark of the 3rd period in last night’s Jets and Wild game, defenceman Jay Harrison unloaded a blast from the point which hit Evander Kane in the right leg. The Jets winger hit the ice and while he skated off on his own, he looked to be in some pain on the bench.
He wasn’t at the Jets practice today and following the skate coach Maurice announced that Kane was “going to have to be evaluated. We will see how he is tomorrow.”. The follow-up question was whether it was a lower body injury and coach “Yes. unless he plays and then he is fine.”
The Jets have called up Patrice Cormier from the St. John’s IceCaps as insurance if Kane is unable to play tomorrow night against the Minnesota Wild.
