Euro Curve takes a look at the latest international hockey headlines.

Washington Capitals prospect Jakub Klepis has apparently left the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League to play with Ambri- Piotta of the Swiss Elite League. Klepis had five goals and six assists in 19 games for the Bears. He was originally drafted by Ottawa in 2002 (1/16). He was a point-a-game player in the AHL last season.

Pääjärvi Svensson will be the first 16-year-old to play for Sweden in the U-20 World Junior Championships when he suits up this month in Pardubice, Czech Republic for the 2008 tournament. Viktor Hedman, a defenseman sure to be a Top 10 pick in the upcoming 2009 NHL Entry Draft will also play. Check out the eurohockey.net link for the full Swedish roster.
